Terms of Service

As of January 2025

Welcome to JBW Interiors, the interior design service operated by JBW Interiors Limited and consisting of various design services.

These Terms are made between:

(1)   JBW Interiors Limited (the registered office of which is at c/o V & R Accountancy Services Limited, Cropton House, Three Tuns Lane, Formby, Merseyside, L37 4AQ) – referred to as “JBW Interiors” and “We”; and,

(2)   You – any person signing up to these services, referred to as the “Client” in these Terms.

 

  1. For our Transform service, invoices will be sent for the payment stages and terms as set out in the accepted fee proposal. The project will not move onto the next stage until outstanding invoices are paid.

  2. For our Visualise service, invoices will be sent for the payment terms of a non-refundable 50% deposit upon appointment and 50% balance upon agreement of the final design pack. The design pack will be emailed to the Client once the final 50% payment has been received by JBW Interiors.

  3. For our Inspire service, invoices will be sent for full payment upon booking of the appointment. Once full payment has been received, the appointment will then be confirmed.  This is a non-refundable service, but the appointment can be rescheduled.

  4. Payments by BACS only.

  5. JBW Interiors reserves the right to end any agreement with the Client if they fail to make the payment on time or if they break any of the T&Cs.

  6. JBW Interiors reserves the right to cancel orders and refund the Client, if needed.

  7. For our Visualise service, in large open plan spaces, each functional area should be classed as one room i.e. the dining room will be one room, the living room another.  We will decide how many rooms the Client’s space will be classed as, and quote accordingly. 

  8. For our Visualise service, the Client Questionnaire will be issued upon receipt of the deposit payment. The Client is to answer all of the questions in detail and give as much information as they can about their tastes and requirements, so the room design is as accurate as possible. The Client is to return the completed questionnaire at least one week prior to our initial online consultation to allow JBW Interiors the time to digest its detail.  If the questionnaire, measurements, photos/videos, and inspirational images aren’t returned at least one week prior to the initial consultation, the date will be rescheduled.

  9. For our Visualise services, the Client Questionnaire answers will be used as the design brief.  If We need more information from the Client or have any further questions, We will ask these during the initial consultation meeting (unless answers to questions have been omitted, then these will be requested beforehand, which may delay the process).

  10. For our Inspire service, the Client Questionnaire will be issued upon receipt of the full payment. The Client is to answer all of the questions in detail and give as much information as they can about their design dilemma, so JBW Interiors’ recommendations can be as detailed and appropriate as possible. The Client is to return the completed questionnaire at least one week prior to our online consultation to allow JBW Interiors the time to digest its detail.  If the questionnaire, photos/videos and any necessary measurements aren’t returned at least one week prior to the consultation, the date will be rescheduled.

  11. For our Visualise service, The Client must send their room dimensions in millimetres, photo/videos and inspirational images with their completed Client Questionnaire within the timescales set out in points 8 & 10 of these Terms. JBW Interiors accepts no responsibility for inaccurate or false measurements provided by the Client.

  12. The Client must clearly label their photos/videos so We can easily identify them.

  13. Our Visualise service is a ‘design idea’ only service.  If the Client does not like the finished product, refunds cannot be issued.  There will be the opportunity for one set of revisions included in the service cost. One set of revisions consists of a change of up to 50% of the original design. A complete change of the original design proposed by JBW Interiors does not classify as a revision and may incur extra charges.  If there is a substantial amount of extra work requested by the Client, We reserve the right to charge an additional fee, which will be discussed with the Client before any further work is undertaken by JBW Interiors.

  14. For our Visualise service, once the final design pack has been sent to the Client, the agreement between JBW Interiors and the Client ends, except for the four weeks of design support (this does not include design revisions, resourcing of items unless as set out in point 15 of these Terms). It is entirely up to the Client if they choose to use the design and product suggestions given.

  15. JBW Interiors cannot be held responsible for resourcing if retailers are out of stock of items in the final design pack within two weeks of the design pack having been delivered to the Client.  All product recommendations will be checked before the shopping list is sent and products will not be recommended if they are unavailable at that time. 

  16. It is out of JBW Interiors’ control if product prices have changed after the shopping list has been issued.  Again, prices will be checked before the shopping list is sent.

  17. Retailer website images and descriptions are not always completely accurate. This could mean that actual colours may vary from the image and there is missing/incorrect information in the product copy.  The products are recommendations only and it is not the responsibility of JBW Interiors if the retailer details have changed or are inaccurate.

  18. JBW Interiors is not responsible for anything relating to Client orders with retailers.

  19. Most retailers offer samples of wallpapers, fabrics, flooring and paints.  This way the Client can check they are happy with the style, colour and quality if thinking of purchasing.

  20. Product P&P/delivery costs aren’t included in the shopping list.

  21. The design idea is for decor purposes only and will not include unrelated finishes or fixtures unless specified i.e. light switches, sockets, flooring underlay, paintwork primers and undercoats.

  22. Wallpaper, fabric, flooring and paint total quantities and prices provided by JBW Interiors are estimates. These are calculated on the measurements provided by the Client and must be checked by the Client and/or their contractors.

  23. It is the Client’s responsibility to double check that all goods recommended by JBW Interiors are suitable for their requirements before purchasing.

  24. For our Visualise service, the Client budget given to JBW Interiors should not include the design fee or the costs of any work needed by third parties i.e. flooring fitting, painting & decorating, joinery, electrics etc.

  25. By purchasing of JBW Interiors’ design services, the Client agrees this is for their own personal use only and is not for re-sale.

  26. The Client agrees photos and videos of their home and our design pack may be used for marketing purposes both online and offline, unless otherwise stated by the Client.

  27. The Client’s personal details will not be passed on to any third party without their permission.

  28. JBW Interiors will respond to any communications from the Client within 48 hours, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm (but usually sooner).  JBW Interiors will not respond to any non-urgent communications outside of these office hours.

  29. During bank holidays and annual leave, JBW Interiors will respond to any non-urgent communications from the Client following our return to work.
