Meet Jo Bedford Wenman, Founder & Creative Director
At JBW Interiors, I create considered, characterful homes for busy professionals and families across Liverpool, Wirral and Cheshire.
Known for a love of moody, sophisticated interiors, layered neutral palettes and bold dark accents, my approach is about much more than creating a particular look. I believe the best interiors should feel personal. They should reflect who you are, work beautifully for the way you live and create a sense of belonging every time you walk through the door.
Whether you’re planning a one-room refresh, a kitchen or bathroom makeover, or embarking on a full home renovation, I’ll help you turn your ideas into a home that feels considered, cohesive, and completely yours.
After studying residential interior design at KLC School of Design, I founded JBW Interiors with a simple belief: a beautifully designed home shouldn’t just look good - it should make life feel better.
My previous career has shaped the designer I am today. It taught me to listen carefully, ask the right questions and understand what people really want, even when they’re not quite sure what that looks like yet.
That ability to understand both people and spaces sits at the heart of JBW Interiors.
Before becoming an interior designer, I spent more than 25 years working in marketing, much of it within the property industry. Eventually, I took the leap and pursued the childhood dream I had never quite let go of.
Designing Around You
For me, great interior design starts with getting to know you. How you live, what you love, what you need from your home and, importantly, how you want it to feel.
I take a thoughtful, collaborative approach, bringing together your ideas and personality with my creativity and design expertise. I’ll guide you through the decisions; introduce ideas you may not have considered and give you the confidence to make choices that feel right for you and your home.
While I’m naturally drawn to sophisticated, layered interiors with warmth, depth and character, I don’t believe in imposing a particular look. Every home and every client is different, and that individuality should be celebrated.
Ultimately, my aim is to create a home that feels considered and beautifully put together, but never overly designed - because ultimately, your home should tell your story.

Beyond The Studio
When I’m not designing, I’m happiest at home in South Liverpool with my husband and rescue dog, Paisley - the very proud Studio Manager of JBW Interiors!
I also love to travel the world, discovering new places, architecture, materials and ideas that inevitably inspire my designs.
But the part of my work I value most is much closer to home: seeing a client experience their newly transformed space for the first time and knowing we’ve created somewhere that genuinely means something to them.
